Psychologists warn: Never use these phrases to your child

The things we hear from our parents, when we are kids can get stuck in our memories forever because words have a lot of power.

The Brightside found out the phrases that we should avoid when we talk with our kids and what we can say.

Avoid: “I’m so proud of you” or “Great job!”

Try better: “You must be so proud of your work.”

Avoid: ” How was your day? ”

Try: “What was the best part of your day?”

Avoid: “Leave me alone!”

Try: ” What happened or please give me a minute to finish this and we will talk, alright?”

Avoid: “I could do that when I was your age”

Try: “Let me teach you how to do it”.
